Mississippi born and raised Vasti Jackson is a dynamo guitarist and
the ultimate performer. Always the entertainer, Jackson walked a wall
separating the stage from the crowd, shaking hands while playing the guitar
one handed. Always on the move, Vasti's firey guitar work and stellar
vocals left a lasting impression on all that were lucky enough to see
him. When I asked festival director Dennis Massingill what he thought
of the show, all he could was "Wow." I said he was the ultimate.

sweat on this steamy New Orleans evening with some rockin' blue, and s
reggae vibes. Jackson deftly supplied vocals and an amazingingly full

Stumbled into Bourbon St. after some country clubs in Nashville. Vasti Jackson
was playing and he was definitely the highlight of my evening. Wonderful interaction
with the crowd, terrific showmanship, and gut bucket in your face guitar playing.

I've been searching for Vasti Jackson's music since "Last of the Mississippi
Jukes". This CD doesn't disappoint. I use it to show young people what
Blues music is.... and supposed to be. It makes you feel and move at the same
time.
